Nobel Prize 2019 in Economics this year Abhijit Banerjee and his wife, Esther Duff Michael Kraemer

The three were chosen for the Nobel Prize in Economics this year.  Among them are Indian-born economist Abhijit Banerjee and his wife, Esther Duff.  Ester Duflow, Michael Kraemer, including Abhijit, nominated for Nobel Prize.

Abhijit Banerjee is the second Indian-born Indian to win the Nobel Prize in Economics.  In the past, Amartya Sen won the Nobel in Economics.  Abhijit was awarded the Economics Award at this year's Nobel Awards. The Nobel Committee said that Abhijit's commitment to eradicating poverty is very relevant.

Abhijit was born in Mumbai on February 21, 1961.  He graduated from the University of Calcutta.  Jaguarlas is a student from the University.  In 1988, he completed his PhD from Harvard University in the United States.  He is a professor of economics at the Ford Foundation of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge.  Abhijit started the Abdul Latif Jamil Poverty Action Lab in 2003.  They included Duflow and Senthil Mulinathan.  Abhijit was the director of that school.  Abhijit was also a member of the development agenda of the UN Secretary General.

So far, six Indians have received the Nobel Prize, including Rabindranath Tagore, Sevi Raman, Mother Theresa, Amartya Sen and Kailash Satyarthi.
