UPSC has released the notification for the Combined Defense Service Exam-2021 for the posts of Lieutenant, Sub-Lieutenant and Flying Officer in the Central Services. There are 345 Posts are there all Eligible candidates can apply online.
Qualifications: Applicants for Army must be at least 157.5 cm. Height should be. 157 cm for Navy, 162.5 cm for Air Force and 152 cm for Officer Women. Height is mandatory. The chest should extend 5 cm while inhaling. Pilot Aptitude Battery Test (PABT) is conducted for those who have applied to the Air Force and Navy. Candidates who fail this test and are accustomed to wearing spectacles are disqualified from the Air Force.
Combined Defense Service Exam-2021
Eligibility: Must have any Bachelor's degree in IMA, Engineering / Technology in Naval Academy, Maths in Physics in Air Force Academy and any degree or Engineering in Inter.
Age: Those born between 2 January 1998 and 1 January 2003 are eligible for the Military, Naval Academy. I.e. must be between 20 and 25 years old. Must have been born into the Air Force Academy between January 2, 1998 and January 1, 2002. I.e. adults between 20 and 24 years of age. Holders of DGCA Approved Commercial Pilot License are allowed up to 26 years of age. Male and female candidates born between January 2, 1997 and January 1, 2003 are eligible for the Officer Training Academy.

Fee: Rs.200. There is no fee for SC / ST / Women.
Examination centers: Hyderabad, Tirupati, Visakhapatnam, Bangalore, Chennai
Application Procedure: The application should be submitted in two stages namely Part – I and Part – II on the website.

Selection process: Selection will be based on written test, interview and medical test. Stage-1 consists of three papers in Objective mode. The question paper will be printed in English / Hindi mediums. The Service Selection Board will conduct Intelligence and Personality Test in Stage-2 for those who qualify. There are negative marks. 0.33 per cent deduction will be levied. Degree level questions are required in Elementary Mathematics while the rest of the subjects are questioned at the tenth standard level.
